Biological Inoculant

Legumes, such as bean and peas, enrich the soil through the process of nitrogen fixation. Rhizobium bacteria are able to capture atmospheric nitrogen and transform it into a plant usable form. Because not all soils contain these nitrogen fixing bacteria, dusting the seeds with inoculant can improve the yield of beans and peas, and provide free fertilizer for the following crop. For maximum benefit, mow off or till under plants. Do not pull out and throw away the roots.
