Planted all 10 seeds but only 5 germinated. It was strange summer weather so I'm sure that had something to do with it. I'm in zone 6 outside of St Louis. However, that being said, this was the absolute BEST melon ever. So sweet...everyone agreed on that. No disease at all. Amazing. Harvested a total 41 melons. Planted them May 18th. They germinated May 24th. Harvested the first group of 7 from Aug1st-6th. They all weighed over 6lbs. I continued harvesting through Oct 22nd. They started getting smaller throughout the growing season. The largest 6.50lbs. The smallest 2.31. Will definitely plant again.

These are versatile, wide, and long. I have had trouble in the past of staples tearing the landscape fabric. I pull up the fabric every year, because I have found that dirt (mostly plant debris) accumulates on them and if I leave it, weeds sprout on top of the fabric. These wider ones are easy to see and easy to pull with the fabric even when I don’t see them.
