Improving Your Soil
Stu Campbell. Without good soil, one simply can’t grow nutritious, healthy food. In this surprisingly thorough book, Stu correctly identifies the soil type of sand, silt, loam, or clay, or what I have found commonly, a mixture of types. He explains how to test the pH of one’s soil, earthworms, drainage, managing air in the soil, nutrient balance, when to improve your soil, and soil amendments. Anyone who has farmed and gardened quite a bit, it ends with a chapter called “Improving Difficult Soils”. There is a handy list of organic soil amendments such as alfalfa and coffee grounds. If you are serious about food production or gardening, take a look at this book.

Went to go checkout online, I only ordered a few seeds and it says my shipping is going to be $50?! For the basic shipment. I live in ohio where berlin seed is and only a few hours away that just seems awfully expensive for seed shipment...
