Great Grapes

Annie Proulx. In this handy 31 page guide, Annie Proulx takes us on a journey through arboriculture. She attempts to build up the reader’s confidence in the chapter “Who can Grow Grapes?”, then follows it up in chapter 2 with a Grape Growers’ Vocabulary. Further on , she reviews basic grape types, how to plan your own vineyard, caring for it (a must) , and diseases and pests of the grape. Interestingly, she DOES include organic possibilities to keeping a healthy vineyard , and then follows that with several paragraphs on sprays. In what can be an intimidating venture, this book does what it can to ease you into the world of grape growing.
