Black Pearl is a dark maroon and purple redbud with deep dark color. What sets it apart from other purple redbuds is the depth of color in the thick glossy leaves. Maintains better deep dark purple then the common Forest Pansy cultivar. This redbud holds its color through the growing season and follows the captivating leaf pattern of aces of hearts with symmetrical orderly leaves. Small bright purple/pink flower clusters in early spring. For those looking to grow a beautiful small tree that doesn’t require a lot of maintenance and pruning Black Pearl is an excellent choice.
