Annual Soil Buster
A great blend designed specifically for home gardens. Can be broadcasted any time after August 15. This mix adds organic matter, fixes nitrogen, recycles nutrients, improves soil biology, smothers weeds, and winter kills. Germinates best if area is raked or dragged a little after planting. Running your tiller through with the tines disengaged works well, as does dragging with a pallet or old box springs. Mix includes Winter Pea, Cow Pea, Oats, Crimson Clover, Radish, Sunn Hemp, Phacelia.

Planted all 10 seeds but only 5 germinated. It was strange summer weather so I'm sure that had something to do with it. I'm in zone 6 outside of St Louis. However, that being said, this was the absolute BEST melon ever. So sweet...everyone agreed on that. No disease at all. Amazing. Harvested a total 41 melons. Planted them May 18th. They germinated May 24th. Harvested the first group of 7 from Aug1st-6th. They all weighed over 6lbs. I continued harvesting through Oct 22nd. They started getting smaller throughout the growing season. The largest 6.50lbs. The smallest 2.31. Will definitely plant again.
