Hard-neck. Rich, sweet, pungent flavor in a hardy, vigorous plant. Bulbs have tight white wrappers with some pink shading. A consistent producer year after year that stores well after harvest. Cloves per bulb: 6-8. Cloves per pound: 30-35.

Planted all 10 seeds but only 5 germinated. It was strange summer weather so I'm sure that had something to do with it. I'm in zone 6 outside of St Louis. However, that being said, this was the absolute BEST melon ever. So sweet...everyone agreed on that. No disease at all. Amazing. Harvested a total 41 melons. Planted them May 18th. They germinated May 24th. Harvested the first group of 7 from Aug1st-6th. They all weighed over 6lbs. I continued harvesting through Oct 22nd. They started getting smaller throughout the growing season. The largest 6.50lbs. The smallest 2.31. Will definitely plant again.

Great product, but More than that, Berlin Seeds and the staff are always professional and knowledgeable. I’ve had 2 soil samples completed and this experience was the best case scenario.
