Fall Green Manure Mix
Fast-growing green manure mix for late summer and fall planting. This ready-made mix is comprised of winter rye, field peas, ryegrass, crimson clover and hairy vetch. Vigorous late summer growth provides winter erosion control. The peas, clover and ryegrass will winter kill to provide organic matter and soil cover. The hairy vetch and winter rye will regrow in the spring to provide nutrients for crops to utilize. Because the seeds of this mix vary in weight and size, it is best seeded, then raked in.

Went to go checkout online, I only ordered a few seeds and it says my shipping is going to be $50?! For the basic shipment. I live in ohio where berlin seed is and only a few hours away that just seems awfully expensive for seed shipment...

Planted all 10 seeds but only 5 germinated. It was strange summer weather so I'm sure that had something to do with it. I'm in zone 6 outside of St Louis. However, that being said, this was the absolute BEST melon ever. So sweet...everyone agreed on that. No disease at all. Amazing. Harvested a total 41 melons. Planted them May 18th. They germinated May 24th. Harvested the first group of 7 from Aug1st-6th. They all weighed over 6lbs. I continued harvesting through Oct 22nd. They started getting smaller throughout the growing season. The largest 6.50lbs. The smallest 2.31. Will definitely plant again.
