A lovely, little American heirloom from the early 1900s, Bennings Green-Tint is a pattypan-type. A very pretty, pale green scalloped squash that has excellent flavor, a hint of sweetness and a tender, yet meaty, texture. They are ideal when picked 2-3″ in diameter. They are prized for quick sautéing with pastas, grilled and stuffed, steaming or serving fresh with summer dips. Blossoms are prolific and the ideal size for culinary use.
