A heavy producer even in hot, humid areas. Steamed snaps are sweet, rich, and full-flavored. Also freezes without becoming “rubbery” like some bean varieties. Stringless when pods are small to medium size. Vigorous vines bear round, 7″ purple-streaked pods containing buff-colored seeds splashed with brown. ‘Rattlesnake’ beans are also great as a dried bean and used in chili or baked bean dishes.
